About the Artist
Anita Shuler DeLong has been involved in the arts since childhood. She attended Oregon State University, California College of Arts and Crafts and received a B.S. from Portland State University. Anita's background in traditional techniques has given her a solid foundation on which to base her own work. Anita has worked in the media of clay, watercolor, and most recently fine metals/jewelry.
Since moving to the Okanagan in 1990, the influence of the geographic area has surfaced in her motifs. You can see this in the color, texture, and patterns interpreted and transformed through her imagination. In the end Anita's goal is to create artistic pieces that are pleasing to the eye.
